Résumé
Using the example of the northwestern Altai, the reconstruction of environment and conditions of habitats of the Paleolithic man are considered. It is shown that, in the Late Pleistocene of the Anui valley, the climate became more continental on the background of alternation of dry and humid climatic phases. Communities show a mosaic structure. Clear relationships between natural conditions of the Late Pleistocene, the structure of animal populations, and the state of the population and mode of life of the Paleolithic man are established.
