Detailed list of the ecto-parasites of the tarbagan; these include the tarbagan flea, Ceratophyllus silantievi Wagner (Wagner, 1898), lice (Polyplax) and ticks (Rhipicephalus). Chita, a town in Transbaikalia not far from a tarbagan-infected area. In this area the tarbagan is the only steppe-rodent in which plague infection exists.
