Résumé
Marmot oil (adeps marmottae) is a traditional household remedy in the Alps for treating skin irritations and rheumatic symptoms. Our Marmot Oil ST is solely derived from fat of wild marmots (marmota bobak) from Siberia (in accordance with IUCN Red List of Threatened Species). The oil is 100 % natural. It is composed of a mixture of triglycerides (fatty acids C14 - C18); unsaturated fatty acids prevail (more than 70 %). Marmot Oil ST is obtained by rendering the fat at 95°C for at least 3 hours. Then the pure oil is heated again to 80°C for minimum 3 hours, separated by CO2 extraction, and filtered. It is deodorized and bleached.
