Aspetti preliminari per lo studio del comportamento delle marmotte (Marmota marmota). Preliminary aspects for the study of the behaviour of the alpine marmot (Marmota marmota) [Aspects préliminaires de l’étude du comportement de la marmotte alpine (M. marmota)].

Résumé

The research takes place in the regional Park of the Argentera in the middle of the Maritime AIps (North-West of Italy). The study started on 20 of April and it’s based on the direct observation of the animals. Until the 12 of October 579 hours were spent for observing the members of two Marmots’ groups: -a family -unit- a colony . The research is based on the study of the different behaviou of the colony’s marmots and family-unit marmots. The examined area is a grass-land meadow once placed in the most fertile and flat areas of the Park and in many cases still now used as grass-land.
