The first anatomical account for the woodchuck, a species of increasing interest to mammalogists and scientists concerned with animal and human health. This volume is divided into 11 chapters and richly illustrated with numerous figures of remarkable detail and clarity. Dr. Bub Tennant, the James Law Professor of Comparative Medicine at Cornell University, notes that “this volume represents a quantum advance in the anatomical information currently available on the woodchuck.” This ASM Special Publication is a bridge between the biomedical research community and those studying ecology and evolution of this interesting species.
